Shifto Packers & Movers started from a simple frustration: moving day is one of the most stressful things a family does, and the industry that is supposed to help has a reputation for vague quotes, vanishing crews and damage nobody will own. We built the company we would have wanted to hire.
That shows up in unglamorous places. A surveyor comes to your home before we quote, so the number we give you is the number you pay. Every carton is numbered and listed on an inventory you sign. One named coordinator owns your move from survey to final signature, so you are never explaining your situation from scratch to whoever picks up the phone. And when something does go wrong — occasionally it does — there is a written process for putting it right, not an argument.
How we work
Our crews are employed and trained rather than picked up per job, because a packer who has wrapped two thousand wardrobes is not the same as one who has wrapped two. Vehicles are maintained on a schedule and checked before loading. Fragile and high-value items are crated rather than wrapped, and both crating and insurance are offered up front rather than sold to you at the door.
What we will not do
We will not quote without understanding what we are moving. We will not add charges you did not approve in writing. We will not carry goods the law does not allow us to carry, however inconvenient that is. And we will not tell you a delivery date we do not believe in — an honest range beats a comfortable promise we then miss.
